Space and product allocation

Use the Blueprint layout guide to relay your wine fixture, giving each country/category the right amount of space, thus balancing your display to the demands of the market.

Use point of sale material to help your customers find the product they want ..it will also encourage browsing.

Where categories span more than one shelf, place higher priced products on the higher shelves where customers can see them.

Chill out

Use your chiller to display and sell a varied range of white and sparkling wines for customers who want a table-ready bottle.

Trade-up ... your customers do

Stock wines across a wide price range-but don’t neglect those over £5.00 per bottle-your customers will trade up for special occasions.

Promote your best offers

Feature strong promotional offers both on the fixture and by erecting floor displays. Don’t simply feature cheap wines-this will encourage down trading and they will sell anyway. Try multi-buy promotions e.g. "3 for £10" or £1 off offers e.g. "normal price £4.99-our wine of the month price £3.99"
